Pocket PC: Saving Notes on Contacts
In this edition we cover ways to add notes to contacts. This can be very valuable as you capture information on prospects and customers. Rather than just capturing the normal contact information you can add notes to the contact record to help you remember details about the prospect. For example, you may capture information about the individual that helps you build a relationship of trust such as hobbies, occupation, children's names, etc. You may also want to note information that will help you work the right deal such as information about the vehicle they are currently in, what vehicles they are considering for purchase and why, what payment they can afford, etc. You may also want to make any other notes that simply help you remember your conversation with the prospect.
• While entering or editing a contact record, tap on the Notes tab at the bottom of the screen.
• A blank text screen will appear. Add the text of your note as needed.
•When your note is complete you can tap OK in the upper right corner to close the editing screen and return to the contact list screen or tap the Details tab at the bottom of the screen to return to editing the main contact information.
•To view a previously saved note, tap the contact in the contacts list screen to open the contact and then tap the Notes tab at the bottom of the screen.
Keeping and saving notes is simple with a PDA and can make a big difference in closing more deals with happy, satisfied customers.
